Help Rebuild Our Lives After a Tree Crash Disaster

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and a deep sense of urgency. Our beloved home has been devastated by a tragic accident, and we need your support to help us rebuild our lives.

In the early hours of August 2, 2024, an enormous tree crashed through our home. The impact was catastrophic. Our house is now severely damaged. I was buried under the debris until 2 brave and kind neighbors rescued me. Thankfully, I’m alive, but I have suffered injuries and trauma that will require extensive therapy.

The destruction is overwhelming. Our home, which was filled with our cherished memories, is now uninhabitable. We’ve lost almost everything – furniture, personal belongings, and essential documents. Most can be replaced but there are several items that belonged to my son who passed away in 2021. That hurts.

Here’s how your support will make a difference:

The trauma I’ve experienced means I will need counseling and support for a long time.

Temporary Housing: We need to find a safe place to stay while we find a new place. This will be a significant financial burden that we didn't expect.

The damage to our home is extensive and unfortunately cant be repaired with renovations.

Adding to our grief, our beloved pets – three cats and one dog – are deeply traumatized by the incident. Our 3 cats ran off and hid for a few days. They were caught in the chaos and are struggling to cope with the stress and disruption. They need veterinary care, trauma support, and a safe environment to begin healing.

Daily Needs: We are starting from scratch and will need assistance with daily essentials, from clothing to groceries, as we navigate this challenging period.
