Update! Only $4000 to go!!! Thanks to your generosity, kindness, and sharing, the Mosses are almost half way there!
My name is Kyrie. Morgan is my sister from another mister and has been my best friend for what feels like a million years. I would like you to meet Mike and Morgan. Their love story began online and a little later in their lives. Love was almost instant, and Mike proposed to Morgan on their one-year anniversary in September of 2020. As of February 2022, it has been a heck of a year! February of 2021, just seven months before their wedding, Morgan was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly thereafter, she underwent a lumpectomy and radiation. With Mike by her side, it was a success, and fortunately, her cancer is currently in remission. They had a beautiful wedding in September 2021. Just one year from her diagnosis, on Superbowl Sunday, Mike was leaving his sister's home, slipped on the icy steps and damaged his spinal cord. He was airlifted to University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH Cincinnati, OH. He had surgery to repair two of his cervical vertebrae to relieve pressure on his spinal cord. As of now, he is paralyzed from the bottom of his chest down. He has some arm movement from the elbows up. Mike was moved to a rehab facility after his hospital stay, and with his positive attitude and absolute determination, he is working hard to be able to once again dance with his new wife. Morgan and her children are looking forward to welcoming their husband and stepfather home within the next week and are gearing up for the necessary changes that will have to be made to their home. They have been fortunate to be able to get what's is needed inside their home for Mike's care, but they really need our help securing appropriate transportation by way of a wheelchair-accessible van. Mike and Morgan are the kindest, most loving people you could ever meet. Everything they do, they do with faith, kindness, and laughter. This new challenge is no exception and any help you can give to help them in this journey will be greatly appreciated.
