Help Mike Ledbetter Fight Leukemia Relapse
Donation protected
My dad, Mike Ledbetter, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2024. He went through multiple rounds of induction chemotherapy and ultimately underwent a stem cell transplant in February. Throughout this journey, he had to make sudden and difficult changes: stepping away from the landscape construction business he built and ran for over 20 years, limiting contact with his grandchildren due to health risks, relocating to Portland during the winter, and spending several weeks confined to a hospital bed.
This experience has taken a tremendous physical, emotional, and financial toll on him—a man who has always been strong, hardworking, and self-reliant. My mom has also carried a heavy burden as his full-time caregiver, having to step away from her job, facing each day with unwavering courage and commitment.
Together, my parents have spent their lives building a home, raising a family, working hard saving for the future, and showing us what true partnership and love look like. Just 70 days after his transplant, we received the heartbreaking news that my dad’s leukemia has relapsed. Before this setback, we were finally feeling hopeful—looking ahead to their move back home and focusing on his recovery.
My parents would never ask for help themselves. So I’m asking on their behalf. If you feel moved to support my dad as he begins this next fight, please consider donating. Any amount is deeply appreciated. Your support means the world to us and will help protect the savings and security my parents worked so hard to build.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you.
With love,
