Help Mike Licari Beat Cancer

I am extremely saddened to share that my dad, Mike Licari, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 kidney cancer. 

Mike began suffering from various symptoms a few months ago but related it to aging and the trials and tribulations of turning wrenches for a living. His symptoms began to worsen and he finally landed himself in an Emergency Room where they discovered a large mass on his kidney along with another on his spine. 

Mike is currently receiving care at USC and is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove his kidney on March 20th. We are still waiting on additional test results to come back to determine the appropriate course of treatment moving forward. We are hoping for a relatively good prognosis, but there are always risks and complications associated with any kind of cancer treatment.

Mike is a loving husband to his wife Nancy, an incredible father to Candice and Brad, and a loving grandpa to Owen and Leo. He has a big heart and is known to show his love by cooking you a meal. If you've met him, you know exactly what I mean. He has lived in Mammoth Lakes for over 25 years and owns his own mechanic shop, Mountain Motors. However, with these major setbacks, he is unable to return to his shop and is without income for the foreseeable future. This Go Fund Me was created because Mike and Nancy are unable to afford these medical expenses on their own. The donations will help to offset the medical bills, travel costs, and loss of income associated with Mike’s treatment and recovery.
