Mike Curran After the Eaton Fire Loss

Donation protected
Our brother and uncle Michael "Mike" Curran lost everything on Wednesday, January 8, when the Curran Family home was lost to the Eaton fire. He courageously fought to tamper flames on the neighbors' houses before narrowly escaping and suffering smoke inhalation. He got out with only his wallet and phone. We're helping him to start over, to cover unexpected expenses and those not covered by other sources of aid. He is safe and seeking temporary housing.

And just a little note if you don't know our family, Mike, and our connection to the community: the Currans have called Altadena home since the 1960s, residing continuously in the house on Raymond Avenue. The home sheltered, nourished, and was the gathering place for innumerable memories, celebrations and holidays for 4 generations. Mike is a creature of habit and loved the only home he's ever known. He's an avid Dodgers fan, big-time dog lover, and dedicated nurse at a local hospital. He is always the first one to offer a helping hand whether it be to family, friends, or strangers. I am one of Mike's 14 nieces and nephews and am heading up this fundraiser, since several have asked how to support. All proceeds will go directly to him.
