Help Mike Velarde With Cancer Costs

Hello friends and family. Many of you know this man but for those who don't, this is my father Mike Velarde.

Around a month ago he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. For those that don't know Lymphoma is a type of cancer/blood disease and it affects all the lymph nodes throughout your body. This form of cancer is highly aggressive, however, highly treatable. Many people live full lives with Lymphoma, but it requires taking medication for the rest of your life. Thankfully, my father will not require chemotherapy, but he will be required to take medication for the rest of his life. 

The cancer has forced my father to leave his business of 40 years, as he is no longer able to meet the demands of the job. The closure of his business caused a financial strain on our family as the bills for cancer have grow immensely high and insurance helps very little. 

I humbly ask for help from family and friends. We are seeking donations to help with both existing bills(biopsies, scans, medications) and future ones. Our goal is $10,000, but any small amount helps.

I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read this. Together we can relieve my fathers financial stress so he can focus on fighting the cancer.
