Help Milan and His Family from Ukraine
Donation protected
- Milan is a young student that I've been teaching online since the beginning of the pandemic. He's very bright, smart and funny.
- We met through the online teaching platform Outschool.com where he took ESL lessons and other classes.
- He lived in Kyiv, Ukraine, with his family until the attacks in late February 2022.
Update - March 16, 2022 - Milan and his family were able to make it to Denmark, however they do not have a car. Julia (Milan's mother) works in the legal field, so while she is finding work, our fundraiser can help support them until she can find work / transportation.
- In late-February 2022, the city of Kyiv was violently attacked.
- His family had to flee.
- Milan is only five years old and his brother is even younger.
- They left everything behind with just hours to pack and go to find safety.
- Their family slept in the subway and are fighting for their lives.
- Thankfully, their family made it to Romania a few days later, but they desperately need financial help.
- They are not sure of when they'll be able to go back to Ukraine or if they'll ever go back.
I'm asking to help raise funds for about 4 months of basic living expenses for Milan's mother Julia, Milan and his brother Eddie. Using online calculations, it is about $1600.00 USD per month for their family in Romania and I have a way of transferring funds directly to Julia.
Julia (Milan's mother) is helping others cross into Romania safely, and I have contact with her frequently to provide updates to the givers of this fundraiser.
Asking for help for food, rent, medical and other miscellaneous living expenses.
