Dogs on Deployment is reaching out to ask for your help in supporting Jersey, a cherished companion of honorably discharged Navy veteran Laren O. Jersey has been a steadfast friend throughout Laren's 17-year active duty career and has provided invaluable comfort to Laren's daughter during challenging times.

Recently, Jersey has been experiencing severe urinary issues, which may indicate kidney stones or an infection. She urgently needs medical tests, including labs and x-rays, to diagnose and treat her condition. Additionally, Jersey requires a senior physical exam and dental care to ensure her overall health and well-being. Unfortunately, these necessary treatments are costly, and Laren currently lacks the funds to cover these expenses.

ABOUT DOGS ON DEPLOYMENT

Dogs on Deployment (DoD) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing peace of mind for military members and their families by ensuring their beloved pets are cared for during service commitments. Founded by veterans for military members, DoD connects service members with volunteers who are willing to board their pets during deployments, training, or relocations.

Since our inception, we have assisted thousands of military families, ensuring that no pet is surrendered due to a military obligation. Our comprehensive programs, including the Hero Pet Boarding Network, the Rich Setzer Memorial Fund, and various grant initiatives, support the unique needs of military pet owners. The Rich Setzer Memorial Fund, in particular, provides financial assistance for emergency veterinary care, pet relocation costs, and spay/neuter services.
