Help Millie and Chloe Get to New York

To all the beautiful people reading this,

Our names are Chloe and Millie. We're a transgender lesbian couple currently located in rural Oklahoma. The two of us are like any other couple in that we want nothing more than to live securely with each other while we share in each other's lives as the women we are.

Recently, laws proposed as a result of a politically-driven culture war have made living in conservative states as transgender too dangerous for us. These laws are designed either to limit access to public spaces for transgender people, limit or eliminate access to our vital gender-affirming medication, or even legislating transgender people out of existence entirely. If, or more specifically when these laws pass it will make living a happy and healthy life where we're at impossible.

Luckily, with some preparation, Chloe has managed to gain the opportunity to pursue a Master's Degree in music at New York University. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is not only a ticket to a prosperous future career, but also would give both of us access to a state with more protections in place and more resources there for people like us. The very prospect of completing our transitions may be possible.

Sadly, as of this month our current landlord has decided to opt to an older agreement we had for our lease and has chosen to end the lease a month earlier than verbally agreed upon. Since we don't have any resources set up in the city yet, we're having to move our things into storage and move to somewhere temporary in Austin, where our other partners are currently living. While we were saving up for the first move, saving up for two moves was definitely not something that we had planned and is something we desperately need assistance in financing.

The purpose of the money donated to our cause would firstly go to help us move to New York in August. Your donations would help us secure an apartment, afford the moving truck, and help us sustain ourselves until we can find more sustainable financial opportunities in the city.
