Help Milner Residents Save Affordable Housing

We, the homeowners of the mobile homes in Milner Mobile Home Park, have been presented with the opportunity to buy the land our homes reside on. This, of course, comes at a price. We were notified of the current owner's intention to list the property for $8,000,000, where we are in the middle of a 120-day time clock to make an offer or risk the unknown of new for-profit owners. During the last 3 years, the current owners have raised our lot rent from $500/month to $925/month. The same owners, a larger corporation owning many mobile home communities across the country, bought this property for $3,700,000.

We, the homeowners, are fundraising to start the process of creating a Co-Op so we each can own a portion of the place we call home. There are many costs associated with this transition, including attorneys, appraisers, environmentalists, grantors, philanthropic donors, and the list goes on. We believe that through the combination of donations, fundraising, grants, and loans, we can make this a reality! Every dollar helps us cover the costs to make this happen.
