Please help Mimi recoup her losses

Hi there! My name is Cassidy. In November 2022 my Grandmother in law (Mimi/Diane Yates) sold her family land so she could repair her home.   In November 2022, she hired Brendan Myers to repair her home.  Brendan was so reassuring that he would help her make her home safe, energy efficient, and beautiful.  They agreed on a price and then Brendan told Mimi that unfortunately there were some glitches going on with his bank account so he needed $30,000 in cash to get started. Mimi gave him the cash.  The destruction crew came in and ripped her house apart.  Brendan kept asking for more money every time he actually showed up or talked to Mimi. $60,000 later and over a month of staying in a hotel, Mimi went home to a home full of holes in the walls, leaking roof, freezing temperatures in her home, electrical issues, furniture and electronics getting rained on, and unsafe conditions at even getting out of her home. Her stairs leading into her home do not have a handrail for her to hold onto anymore and it is incredibly dangerous for her. Her home is ruined. Her furniture is ruined, most of her paper work, pictures, and even clothes are misplaced or ruined as well. Mimi could really use anything that would help her get her home finished and back to living conditions. She had given Brendan everything she had to fix up her home and instead, turned the home into shambles, stole her money, and then left the state without warning. Any money raised will go to a licensed contractor to get Mimi’s house back to being a home as well as cost for being displaced out of her home (food, hotel, etc), and replacing anything that may have been damaged. If not able to give, we still appreciate and welcome thoughts and prayers to get her through this difficult time.
