Help Mina, Michael & Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
Mina, Michael and their sweet children Maru and Sisu lost their home in Altadena last night, on 1/7/25, to the swiftly spreading and destructive Eaton Fire. In one night, they lost a house they had spent five years making a home, with all their memories, keepsakes and personal belongings.
Their lives have been turned upside down by this loss. They were away at the time, leaving them unable to prepare nor save the the things they hold most dear, losing everything while hearing the news from afar, and holding out hope their beloved home would be spared. Everything, gone in an instant.
Thankfully, they are all safe, but the emotional and financial toll of this tragedy has left them struggling as they now confront these next steps of picking up the pieces and moving forward.
We are reaching out today with a heavy heart, but also with hope. We know that rebuilding will take time, From temporary housing and basic necessities to replacing lost belongings, the road ahead is long, and the financial burden is overwhelming. As they slowly begin to adjust to this initial shock of their new situation and mourn the loss of the life they knew, they need our immediate help to regain the essentials and begin to carve out a new normal.
Anyone who knows Mina, knows what a bright light she is. One of the most generous, loving and supportive humans I know. Always ready to drop what she's doing to offer writing insight, wisdom, companionship and humor. Her friendship has been one of the greatest gifts to those around her.
Any and all help is so greatly appreciated. Let's show this beautiful family our love and support as they navigate this indescribable loss.
