Help Minerva pay for her triple-bypass surgery

Minerva was admitted to the hospital with chest pains in November. She had suffered a heart attack, and not the first one, she was told. The fact that she had survived the heart attack was a miracle in itself. Her heart was functioning at 20% and she needed life-saving surgery. On December 16th, she successfully endured triple-bypass surgery. 2 of her arteries were blocked 100%. We thank God everyday that she is doing well, and on her way to a full recovery.

However, the bills have started to arrive and her health insurance won't cover much. All her medical expenses were considered out-of-network. You see, she was in Puerto Rico, an emergency trip because our Dad had suffered a heart attack. He was happily discharged, and she decided to stay a little longer to help him in his recovery. The ironies of life.

Minerva's health insurance isn't accepted in Puerto Rico, and since she isn't a resident, she doesn't have many options.

We are so grateful for the many family members and friends who were there for her in the difficult times before and after her surgery.
