Help Minnie have a safe place to live!

Hi, my name is Cindy and I am fundraising for a wonderful senior citizen named Minnie Johnson who is living in deplorable conditions. In 2017, Hurricane Irma severely damaged her mobile home she has been living in for over 50 years. The roof and foundation were damaged and Minnie was not able to recover any insurance money for repairs. FEMA promised to help, but it took until this year for the Rebuild Florida program to get her a new trailer, as they deemed her current trailer to be a total loss. Unfortunately, her trailer sits on land that her father gave to her aunt 56 years ago. The aunt passed away and the heirs will not allow the new trailer to be placed on the property, even though Minnie has paid half the real estate taxes on the property every year for 56 years. The only solution to be able to get her new mobile home (that is already built and sitting in Georgia waiting for her to get a place to put it), is to locate a different lot which requires a septic tank and a well to be installed before Rebuild Florida will bring the trailer to her. Minnie has found a lot, but has absolutely no funds to put in a septic system or well. She has worked very hard at multiple jobs all her life until she retired a few years ago (she's 76!) and lives off a small monthly social security check.
I have exhausted all possible resources in looking for programs and funds that could help Minnie from the different charities, agencies, and foundations in our county. I am hoping and praying that this GOFUNDME site can raise the money that Minnie needs to get the septic and well installed for her new mobile home. She is currently living on her small porch and sleeping on an inflatable bed because the rest of her existing mobile home is caving in and covered in mold from numerous holes in the roof, floors, and walls.
Thank you for visiting this page and for considering a donation for Minnie! She is an exceptional person who has always helped others any way she could. She knows many people through her jobs at Wal-Mart, Quality Health Nursing, the JAX airport, and others. She still continues to cook for neighbors who need help and to freely offer her many years of wisdom about faith, family, hope, and health. God Bless You!
