Help Mira and Dr. Hankinson Find a Cure
Tax deductible
Hi, I'm Siqi. On September 23rd, 2024, my daughter Mira was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.
This brain tumor is an extremely rare and dangerous kind called an Adamantinomatous Craniopharyngioma. While technically a benign tumor, it is located in a very dangerous area of the brain and associated with some of the worst quality of life outcomes out of all survivable brain tumors.
Because of how rare Mira's tumor is, research and funding have been lacking, and with your help, we are hoping to help change that.
Over the past few months, we have been working with Dr. Todd Hankinson of the Hankinson Lab at the University of Colorado. Dr. Hankinson runs the only lab in North America that focuses on research into children's craniopharyngiomas. He has already begun clinical trials (one of which Mira is on) on drugs that will slow the growth of this tumor.
Though unfortunately there is still no cure, we have already identified multiple promising new treatments over the past few months. Any and all support would make a real difference to Mira and thousands of children around the world who share her disease.
Yi and I ask for your help to support Dr. Hankinson's research - 100% of proceeds will go directly to research efforts at Hankinson Lab.
