Help Miranda Walk Again: Support Her Healing

Miranda Racca is a bright light in this world! She loves life and serving others, and through Miracle League North Texas and SEEK Camp, she serves the special needs community year around. Miranda feels it is her life's mission to continue serving the special needs community no matter what life throws her way; and man she has had a few curve balls of her own.

After years of extremely rare medical issues Miranda was healed and moving forward in life. However, 3 weeks after ovary surgery in October 2022, Miranda suddenly lost all feeling and use of her right leg. The medical community provided zero answers or treatment plans. In May 2023, following another ovarian cyst, Miranda lost use of her left leg. None of this slowed her down. She continued to serve, all while smiling.

After a year of therapy, testing and countless doctor's appointments, the Racca family decided a change was needed. For the last 7 months Miranda and her Mom have been living in Fayetteville, Arkansas receiving treatment through The Spero Clinic. Miranda has regained use of her left leg and some toe movement on her right foot.

The Spero Clinic is a neurological resetting program and isn't covered by insurance. To be completely transparent, the Raccas have spent over $125,000 at the clinic and an additional $18,000+ in rent. This doesn't include gas, food and basic living necessities. At the current time there is no end date. The Raccas are committed to this and they will leave when Miranda is walking again.

Through all of this, even when in pain, she has a smile on her face. While she is trying to heal she is helping others in the clinic … cheering them on, encouraging them, passing her strength on to them. She’s also STILL actively involved in the special needs community whenever possible.

As you can imagine, this journey has been hard on everyone. Having Miranda & her Mom in Fayetteville, and Dad at home with two daughters in Flower Mound has been a challenge - logistically, emotionally, financially. But this is one strong family. Through it all, they have kept their love and faith in each other.

And more importantly, they have kept their faith in a God who HEALS.

Miranda is doing the hard work … we just need to help make it possible for her to stay!
