Help Mirror Image Customs recover after tragic event.

Dear friends and family of the automotive community. We're reaching out for help in supporting our son and his family through tough times.

We are heartbroken to share that a member of our family and the automotive community is suffering from the aftermath of a tragic event.

On March 27, 2024 Andy, his son 9 year old Maks and 2 employees at Mirror Image Customs were indirect witnesses to a murder-suicide and fire in an adjoining business at 135 Adams Road Kelowna.

The fire and water destroyed all Mirror Images equipment and products leaving the business was unable to operate. Leaving Andy, his employees and customers facing significant financial and emotional hardship.

Restoration of the building was started promptly, yet almost a year later the repairs have not been completed, a daily reminder of the tragic event.

With Andy's hard work ethic, he and his staff went back to work to rebuild the business despite ongoing the challenges.

Though the business was insured for damages and interruption, the yearlong continuing process of battling the insurance company as well as PTSD from the tragic event has taken its toll.

Since 2010 Andy has operated Mirror Image Customs, fulfilling his childhood dream of owning a custom car shop.
Over 15 years the business has grown from Andy working by himself, to employing a diverse group of up to 10 employees.

Over those years Andy has always put his customers' needs first. Putting in long hours, day and night to make sure the customers' needs were met and the finished product meets his standards.

Involvement in the community is important to Andy. Such as charity events, with automotive themes are of course his passion.
Countless hours were donated preparing cars for the annual Okanagan Motors Dream Rally that put special need kids in the seat of some of the world's most exotic cars. He was inspired by seeing how something so simple can make the kids so happy!

Thank you in advance for your kind support, every contribution big or small will make a difference.
