Help Missy Defeat Cancer!

Hi, I'm fundraising to help Missy. If you feel it in your heart to give or have been wanting to support a good cause, please consider giving to Missy. She needs our help. Here's more about Missy and her story.
Missy has been battling stage four colon cancer. For the past two years, Missy, under the care of the Mayo Clinic and Avera Marshall, has been on a treatment protocol of chemotherapy administered every two weeks. While this had held the cancer at bay for some time, recently, the tumor has grown considerably. The doctors have offered no options other than to continue what they have been doing, which offers no hope of a cure. Also, as it has grown, the location of the tumor is beginning to put significant pressure on other organs, causing increased pain and medical complications. The doctors have eliminated the possibility of surgery.
As you can presume from this information, there is no long-term hope with this current treatment. In Missy’s own words, “I have followed every recommendation and treatment protocol Mayo has suggested, and I am getting worse. It’s time to try something else.” That search for something else has led them to the Envita Clinic, where her own sister Wendy is now receiving treatment.
There is hope! After conversations with her sister, who is battling against cancer, and considerable prayer, Missy and Jason have decided to go to the Envita Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, which offers Missy medical options and hope! Envita uses immunotherapy and “targeted or precision chemotherapy,” along with several other protocols to fight cancer at many different levels. Each patient’s treatment is a completely personalized, in-depth, multi-faceted approach that utilizes the latest advancements in genetic testing. Envita has been on the cutting edge of this approach to cancer treatment for nearly 20 years!
Missy, Jason, and their 10-year-old daughter, Emma, traveled to Envita on March 17th for an initial consultation. They were planning on coming home for a couple of weeks to connect with family and friends before returning in early April to get started with treatment. However, because of the urgency of Missy's current medical condition, the doctors recommended that they remain in Scottsdale and start treatment immediately. After prayerful consideration, they decided to forgo the trip back home and start.
Here is how we can all help Missy and Jason as they pursue hope for a positive long-term outcome. Even though Envita uses both conventional and unconventional methods, the insurance industry has determined that none of the care given at Envita is covered by health insurance. The total costs for the medical treatment and living costs for a three-month relocation will run over $150,000.00. We are trusting the Lord to provide these financial resources through Missy’s church and family and friends like you!
