Help Missy Fight Bowel Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,
Our amazing friend Missy (Nicole Trist/ Murphy) has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. This life-altering news is undeniably difficult, yet Missy’s strength and resolve has been truly inspiring, and she is determined to fight.
For those who don’t know Missy, she is the devoted mother of Nate and Finn - two wonderful boys who fill her heart with joy. She loves her work as a preschool officer, her friends and is actively involved in all her boys sporting clubs on and off the field. She is known for giving her all to her family, friends and her community, and now it’s our opportunity to be there for Missy.
Missy’s diagnosis and treatment so far
• In January 2024, Missy’s health rapidly declined and underwent emergency surgery. Tests revealed bowel cancer was the underlying cause of her health issues. Although surgery successfully removed the cancerous portions of her bowel, she commenced chemotherapy as a preventative measure.
• In the months that followed, Missy received distressing news that chemotherapy had not been effective - cancer had returned and progressed to stage 4. Despite the shock and uncertainty, Missy bravely faced her diagnosis and was ready to explore other therapy options.
• Missy has since commenced immunotherapy, a promising option that she plans to combine with integrative therapy. A team of specialist doctors will closely supervise and monitor her treatment, but unfortunately, these costly medical expenses will all be out of pocket.
Many people have been asking how they can help.
First and foremost, I want to share heartfelt gratitude for the incredible outpouring of support from those in Missy’s life. It’s very moving, and in moments like this, even small acts of kindness hold immense significance. Thank you!!
The costs involved with fighting cancer are substantial and any funds raised through this page will be used to help Missy with the following expenses:
Treatment and medical costs
• Integrative treatment to compliment immunotherapy, medications, acupuncture, specialist doctors, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, anti-cancer diets, testing, medical scans, travel to and from appointments, hospital costs, and anything else needed to assist Missy.
Day to day living costs
• Costs involved with running a household and supporting her sons while Missy is unable to work.
Every donation, no matter how modest, is valuable and greatly appreciated.
Each donation brings Missy one step closer to easing the financial strain of cancer treatment, allowing her to prioritise what truly matters: her health and her loved ones.
