Help Misty Bury Her Mom

Please help Misty bury her mother and bring closure to this nightmare.

On February 4th our dear friend, Darlene Day, (Misty’s mom) went to be with Jesus. She passed away at Piedmont in Atlanta from covid. She was brought back to Akins Funeral home in Blue Ridge and is embalmed and at the funeral home waiting to be laid to rest. Nobody should ever have to be in this position.

Here’s where we need your help. We took Misty to the funeral home to make arrangements Saturday morning. Misty did a wonderful job picking things out and going with the least expensive things they had. However, the bill totaled up to over $9000. Darlene didn’t have any life insurance to cover expenses. The funeral home will work with Misty but she has to have at least $5000 before they will do the funeral service and bury her mom.

Darlene will be greatly missed. As a matter of fact, I think the world will be a little dimmer without her, so we will have to let our lights shine a little brighter. Please keep Misty in prayer as she grieves the loss of her mother.

We have raised $1225 so far from ministry friends and families but we do not want to see this drag out any longer. Darlene’s body has been waiting at the funeral home for 2 weeks so we decided to do this go fund me for her. The funds will go directly to the church and I will personally take them to the funeral home.
