Help Mitzy Beat Brain Cancer

Hi my name is Joe and I'm fundraising on behalf of my friend Jeff and his wife Mitzy. Jeff and I worked together for 2 years. Within that time we became close friends and even more so in the last 2 months. You see Mitzy was diagnosed with cancer. Cancer had taken my mom, dad and several relatives so I knew these high-school sweethearts had a long road ahead of them.

Jeff and Mitzy met each other in 8th grade. They've been together for 9 years and have been married for 2 years. Shortly after getting married they found out they were expecting their first child. They were SO EXCITED to be starting their family. A few months into her pregnancy Mitzy had a minor head injury which required stitches. While at the hospital the doctor decided to do an x-ray just to make sure she didn't have any further injuries. This is when they found it, a mass on her brain. After further testing Mitzy was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. This young couple was devastated to say the least.

They decided that Mitzy would wait until after their daughter was born before she started any treatment. She did not want to risk her daughters health for her own. Mitzy will be going for surgery at the end of this month and then several rounds of radiation and chemo after that.

Like anyone in this terrible situation, Mitzy and Jeff are concerned about the future. So many questions with no answers. One of the biggest questions, how are we going to pay the bills and for treatment? Jeff is the only one working now and they know their health insurance won't even cover half of her treatment.

This is where you wonderful people can help. I'm trying to raise at least $25,000 to help this young family. Being diagnosed with this horrible disease is hard enough without the additional stress of finances.
