Help MJ Make Their First Album!

As many of you know I’ve been hard at work writing songs these past few years and I’m really really excited to share with you that I’m about to record my first album!! I’m hoping to raise enough money to bring this collection of songs into the world in an intentional and generous way, and I need your help to make that happen.

Songs have always been a spiritual refuge for me, a place that I go back to again and again to share in their vulnerability and truth and honesty. For me the best songs are songs that are real, that express some part of our humanity that is undeniable, whether it’s beautiful or jagged or uncertain. This is the spirit with which I’ve tried to bring my own songs into the world. These songs are an expression of the deepest parts of myself, inseparable from who I am and my experiences in the world. My hope for this album is that I’ve channeled my own heart and spirit well enough into these songs that others might feel that kind of deep connection and comfort and refuge in them.

The goal of this fundraiser is $25,000, which will help me record and produce the album and promote it once it’s released. I’ve been writing songs for 7-8 years now and it feels huge to get to this point of having an album’s worth of songs finished and beginning the work of releasing them.
