Help Mo and His Family Flee War in Gaza to Safety

Hi, I am Tamam Mohsen and I’m setting up this GoFundMe campaign to help my little nephew and niece evacuate from the war-ravaged Gaza. Here is their message to you:

“Hi friends,

I am Mahmoud Al-Halees (you can call me Mo. My family does), I and my little sister, Celia, live in the Gaza Strip.

Before the war broke out, Celia started her first year of school. We were so excited for her; she has fine handwriting (mine is good too) and already has a strong personality in class. But our schooling has been interrupted for five months and there is no hope of being resumed any sooner.

The war has already claimed the lives of thousands of children in Gaza, including some of our beloved friends, and relatives. It destroyed our school and home. We are left with nothing.

I and my family are now taking refuge in a relative’s place in Rafah with a couple of dozen other people. Our hearts are heavy with anxiety and fear as the war grinds on.

As the situation has become increasingly dangerous for me and my family, I am urgently seeking your support to flee to safety out of Gaza, to a place where we can rebuild our lives and futures. The costs of the evacuation, transport, and essential needs for my family range from $7000 to $ 9000 per person.
