Help Mohammed and his Family Evacuate From Gaza
Dear humanity,

I’m writing this in a time of great urgency and need. My cousin Mohammed and eight of his immediate family members are currently in Gaza, facing unimaginable circumstances. Me and my family are desperately seeking your support to help them evacuate to safety. Their evacuation may be the difference between life and death.

They are currently living in horrific circumstances where medicine is inaccessible, hospitals are no longer safe and barely in service, water, and food are scarce, they have nothing but the clothes on their backs and they are currently in the harshest of winters.
I have included below something that my cousin Mohammed wrote and I translated:

"I did not imagine that on October 7, a war would pass like this, and here we are counting the 112th day of the war, and the war continues. Unfortunately, every day that passes is worse than before, from bombing and the loss of dear people, relatives, and friends, bombing buildings, places, and memories, all of which we lost. This war tells us as if the wars that passed us are not called a war in relation to them. We do not know what is next.
We were forced to leave our homes in Shujaiya and had to move to the south of Gaza, we were all displaced to the Nuseirat area in a UNRWA school. We did not find space to sleep in the rooms because of the crowd of displaced people, so we slept in the school yard and stayed in this state for a month and a half. Then the UNRWA school was bombed and shrapnel fell on our heads in the school, and we hid under anything. After this period, the military demanded that we leave the Nuseirat area to move to the Deir al-Balah area, and a house next to us was bombed, so we were displaced again in the Zawaida area, where we are now, we do not know whether we will be displaced to another place. All this and we do not know anything about our homes in the Shujaiya neighborhood, which was completely destroyed, so if we lose our home, we have nothing left in this country and no place to shelter us.
We did not know that the war would continue until winter, so we did not take any winter clothes with us from our home before displacement, and even in the market there are no more clothes.

We lived the worst days of our lives in the most beautiful years of our lives, we do not feel safe, there is no electricity, scarcity of water, no internet and almost no communications. All this and struggle, so we started thinking about moving to Egypt to feel the most important thing that humans are looking for, which is safety, we are a family of 8 people, our youngest Adam is 3 years old, what is the sin of this child to live this war. But we faced a bigger issue, Egyptians demanded exorbitant amounts to exit through the Rafah crossing. There is no source of income in the war and no salaries are paid because the Israeli side controls the funds of the Palestinian Authority, so we looked for a way to help us collect donations and transport us to safety, and if we do not collect enough money, we will give priority to my sick father who suffers from chronic diseases and we do not find medicine for him because it is not entered into the Strip, my mother and little Adam, so we hope that this world looks at us with a merciful eye, we were good people helping everyone, but this war made us very weak.
We hope that you will not go through difficult circumstances like the one we are going through".

I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign to raise $66,000 to facilitate my family's evacuation to Egypt. Here's a breakdown of the funds:

$56,000 for Permits and Crossing Fees: The bulk of the funds, $56,000, is crucial to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza and the crossing fees required at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah. This amount breaks down to $7,000 per person, including my 3-year-old cousin, although the prices have increased.

$1,000 to cover GoFundMe's Transaction fees. The transaction fee (2.9%+$0.30 per donation).

Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact and contribute to evacuating my family to a safe environment. The funds raised will be used transparently and efficiently to ensure that every dollar goes towards securing their evacuation.

Please share this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues to help us reach our goal and bring my family to safety. We are immensely grateful for any assistance you can provide during this challenging time.

Thank you for your compassion, and generosity, and for standing with us in solidarity. Together, we can make a difference and help my family find the safety and security they urgently need.

With heartfelt gratitude, Until Liberation,
