The Story of Mohammed Hussein Ismaeel and His Family: A Journey of Struggle and Hope

Hello everyone,

I am Mohammed Hussein Ismaeel, a 23-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. My life, and that of my family, has changed drastically due to the war, and I write to you today hoping for your support and assistance during this difficult time.

My Family
My family consists of five members: my mother Rajaa (51 years old), my father Hussein (58 years old), my sister Iman (18 years old), and my little sister Noor (13 years old). We lived a simple life, but one full of hope and ambition.

The Beginning of the Crisis
On October 7, six days after the war broke out, we had no choice but to leave our home and seek refuge in the Maghazi camp in central Gaza. Life in the camp was harsh, but it was our only glimmer of hope for survival. We spent two and a half months there under unbearable conditions, until the fateful day when the camp was targeted by missiles, taking the lives of two innocent relatives and injuring our family members. As if the suffering wasn't enough, after our displacement, our house was targeted and completely destroyed. To add to our tragedy, the bombing burned my father's car, which had helped us in the evacuation process and alleviated some of our hardships.
  • This was our home, filled with cherished memories and moments of joy and happiness. Now, it lies in ruins, its destruction shattering our hearts.

Daily Challenges
We fled to Rafah and then to Deir al-Balah, and I lived in a tent away from my family. My father suffered a cut in a finger tendon, and my sister Iman contracted hepatitis due to malnutrition. I also lost my first job before graduation and my studies in the MBA program were halted. Our lives turned into a daily struggle for survival.

Hope and Prayer
Every day we wake up hoping for the war to end, but fear still controls us. We seek your help to overcome this ordeal and return to our normal lives. We need your support to provide the necessary treatment and care for our family members, continue our studies, and build a better future.

A Call to Humanity
We urgently need your assistance. Any support you can provide, whether financial or moral, will make a big difference in our lives. We ask you to share our story and help us raise funds to evacuate to Egypt and seek safety.

From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for any support you offer us. We will never forget your kindness and generosity in these difficult times.

Thank you,
Mohammed Hussein Ismaeel
