Help Mohammed and his family secure a path from Gaza to safe

Hello world, I’m Mohammed Bakroon , writing my story with a heavy heart after lots of thoughts

and hesitation while I’m staying in a tent in a refugee camp with 8 members of my family,

suffering from Homelessness, illness, freezing from cold to the point of not being able to move a

finger during the winter, extreme heat condition during the summer, a Lack of potable water and

food scarcity. In short, we are suffering from the lack of all simple livelihoods. But the urgency

and need to rescue my family is greater than my resilience.

I was forced with my family to be displaced from our warm house in the north of Gaza, to the

south, under massive bombardment and destruction in my neighbourhood. Our house was

partially destroyed at the beginning of the war, but 5 months ago, it was burned down , it kept

burning for 4 days, without anyone being able to get close to it to put out the fire, because either

you will be shot or bombarded. This fire took all our memories, our things, and the fatigue of our

years.. After being displaced 8 times we ended up in a tent in Nuseirat camp.

I have a small business called (Cadeau Atelier).

Cadeau Atelier store specializes in selling gifts and wooden crafts. I had a gallery in the form of a

hut, and I had my own carpentry workshop that had equipment for making wooden crafts. But

everything has faded and destroyed and we suffered a complete loss. As my home was

destroyed and then consumed by fire, my gift shop - the sole income for my family- reduced to

ashes.

Me and family miraculously survived 3 separate calamities and faced displacement a staggering 8 times. Now, we endure the scorching heat of a tragic tent, plagued by mice, scorpions and poisonous insects.

More than nine months have passed so far, and we don't know where we are heading or what the future holds for me or for my brothers, (Anas) who is 24, the clothing shop he works for has been also bombed, (Suhaib) who is 16 and ( Abd-Alrahman) who is 9, they can’t complete their education journey anymore under these circumstances and my sisters, (Batool) who is 22, her graduation day was the day before the war, her delight was not complete and now she is no longer able to go on with her working life, (Tala) who is 21, she was supposed to prepare herself for her senior year of Mathematics sciences college.

To be honest, it is not easy for me to think about evacuating the city I spent my whole life in, but the reality is difficult and harsh, as days pass the situation is getting worse, more complicated and becoming increasingly urgent to evacuate to Egypt as soon as possible. We have reached a point where there is no hope left for us here in Gaza where we are unfortunately just waiting for our turn to die and even if there is a ceasefire, the destruction in Gaza is beyond prompt repair. There is no future now. Schools, universities, even mosques and churches were not spared from the bombing. There is no safe place in Gaza. Despite these hardships, I’m a dreamy and ambitious guy, my spirit remains unbroken and I’m determined to rebuild our life, follow up on building a future for me and my family.

The cost of evacuating Gaza to enter Egypt through Rafah crossing seemed overwhelming as I have to pay 5000$ per person for my immediate 8 family members (me, my parents, my two sisters and my three brothers ) as the total fees are amounting to around $40,000.

You are reading now what I wrote, being the knight who will contribute to save me and my family from the death machine devouring everything in its path and knowing that there are compassionate individuals like you standing by me gives me strength and courage.
