Help Mohammed's Family Escape Rafah
Donation protected
Thanks for coming to this fund- My name is Diana but this fund is for Mohammed Salama (@moha.mmed.salama on IG) and his family who are displaced in Rafah. Mohammed and I started talking over instagram and I realized he was only a year older than my own son.
At only 19 he works everyday of this god-forsaken ongoing genocide documenting the tragedies and complete suffering of those around him. Can you imagine at 19 not only seeing and experiencing these horrors but being the one who has the important and heartbreaking job of documenting it for the world to see?
There's no doubt that Mohammed and the children of Palestine, especially Gaza, have had their childhood stolen from them.
Mohammed is trying to get his family out of Gaza. Here is what he has to say:
"Hello, I am Mohammed Salama, I am 19 years old, a Palestinian journalist. I live in Gaza City since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and I cover the events in the Gaza Strip, but every hour, every minute, and every day, the situation is difficult in the Gaza Strip, but the Israeli army threatens a ground operation on the city of Rafah, which is the city from which [We were] displaced after the Israeli army was asked to flee
To it after the difficulty of the situation and I want you to help me and my parents to leave the Gaza Strip to maintain the security and safety of me and my parents We are a family of 9 people. We ask you to help us to travel outside Gaza to complete the rest of our lives that we dreamed of"
The money that is donated generously by folks like you, will be sent to Mohammed the following way(s):
I will receive the funds and send them via Western Union directly into Gaza to Mohammed (this is the hopeful 1st option)
OR
I will receive the funds and then send them to Mohammed's friend in Turkey who has a son who is also in Gaza, and is able to have money transferred to him- they will give Mohammed the funds. (only option if there's no direct possible way to get the funds to him).
We have two options in place due to the lack of stability in the region, and because the Western Union option could lack accessibility at any time.
The funds here will be sent to Mohammed to use the best way he sees fit to get his family out of harms way, with the ultimate goal to get them all out of Rafah as soon as possible.
If you have any questions about the fund, please reach out to me.
Thank you so much!! FREE PALESTINE
