Help Moito beat TVT Cancer

Moito is a rescue circus dog from Russia, along with her Sister Alaska, that is also currently beating cancer...

After the news from Alaska, i went straight to testing Moito for cancer.

TVT is a transmittal cancer, like a sexual disease. It spreads fast and will be deadly if not treated.

She will need 4 chemo treatments and weekly checkups

Every euro will mean alot to me and even sharing helps to reach more people.

From start to diagnosis :

When alaska first got diagnosed they told the owner that she has lymfoma, tvt is not common in europe. But they already said that it COULD be infectious so i went ahead on got moito tested.

She got blood drawn and a swap of the infection in her neck, they could not find anyhting in het blood..which is normaal for tvt, alaskas results didnt show anything either.

After they did more tests and found the tvt i did a bodycheck on moito. And there it was, she has puss in het vulva, i tried to vind a vet ass fast as possible, and therr was one who could take us as emergency.

She told us that it could be tvt and 2 days later she was under anesthesia to do a biopsy from her vulva and a swab.

It costed us 500 and they send an extra invoice for the lab of 130..

They told us how they did the biopsy and it was done wrongly... they took a piece of the front and not inside neqr the cervix, also thry did not know how tvt cells look like... we called them and told us that it wasnt tvt, did not give us medication for her infection or looked further... after asking what it was they said..of we don't know so we called the specialist where alaska got her chemo done

It is a 2 hour frive but its worth it.

We got there and did an echo and a swap

She found scars inside of her and there was indeed an infection, also her imune system was very low.

Her cells were full of bacteria, she had that infection for a while now..nobody knew why

We did see some resemblance to tvt cells but there was to much bacteria to see.

We put her 3 weeks on antibiotics, but the puss did not go away, a new swab was made

The bacteria is gone! But the puss was still there... and then there is was, the tvt did show up in every cell...

This was the second swap, all the dark purple stuff is an infection, you could see some cells with broken white dots but was not clear enough

The white pieces in the cells are tvt cancer..

We tqlked about chemo

Because of the holidays we could only start chemo in january..

After the diagnosis moito quickly started to go downhill, she could barely eat, her belly is very full, warts started to grow on and in her mouth, the puss became more, no energy,coughing..

So i called the vet,

Thursday she will have blood drawn to check her kidneys, if they are in shape we are going to start on medication to make her feel a bit better until chemo.

If her kidneys are not okay we are in big trouble..

But lets keep it positive.

Alaska is healty again and only needed one chemo( she was aswell stronger than moito so we are not sure how many currs moito needs.
