Help Molly Get Her Knee Surgery
Hi, my name is Sheri & anyone that knows me will tell you I never ask for help. But this is for Molly, and she needs help. My family adopted Molly in 2012 when she was 3 months old. Molly is a spunky, think for herself kind of girl. Being 9 years old does not slow her down. She constantly has a smile on her face & loves to be around her family, as much as we love to be around her.
After being gone for 2 weeks, and being on the road for 10 hours, we were happy to be picking Molly & our other dogs up from the dog sitter. Molly was so overjoyed that she was home, before we could stop her, she immediately jumped out of the car & chased a rabbit. We heard her help & she came home limping.
A visit to the vet showed she had a complete tear to her ACL & a torn meniscus. Molly is currently on 2 pain medications, and she cannot use her right hind leg.
Molly had a consult with a specialist and surgery is the only option, the tear is complete & will not heal on its own. If Molly doesn't have to stay the night at the hospital, the cost of her surgery will be just over $5,000. The surgeon can schedule Molly's surgery for August 25.
Molly is depressed and not acting like herself. She is showing no interest in things that normally make her happy. Not toys, treats, not even going for a ride (it was to the vet, but she did not know that at the time).
Please help Molly get back to her spunky self.
