Help Mom & Son- Loss of Home and Illness from Mold
Donation protected
I am raising funds on behalf of my dear friend Diana and her 16-year-old son Tennyson who have recently faced a rough series of events that led to the loss of their home and illnesses due to a severe mold infestation.
Diana had also discovered mold at the school where she was employed. Since resigning in September, Diana has been struggling with the mounting bills as a single mom, having tossed almost all belongings - furniture, clothes, valuables, family photos from Korea - which had gotten contaminated.
While replacing necessities, getting treatment for her and Tennyson, paying for lodging, and making the rent the owner demanded, Diana's health quickly declined as she recently learned that she has had mold toxicity throughout her lymph and brain. The financial burden became even more overwhelming when she received a bill of over $2100 after a visit to the ER on December 4th where she was discharged without receiving the necessary medication. Diana is also running tests for tumor markers and undergoing surgery on the 27th.
Adding to the challenges, Tennyson has also experienced health issues, including an infection that was traveling toward his lymph gland and another that was heading for his brain. While he has finally found care at Elevate Functional Medicine Center, the facility does not accept insurance.
We're starting this fundraiser to help Diana and Tennyson cover their medical bills, daily living expenses, groceries, and, hopefully, the replacement of furniture for their new home. Unfortunately, Georgia laws that favor landlords dim the prospects of financial compensation for Diana.
Your support means a lot, whether it's a small or big donation. We also ask for your thoughts and prayers for Diana and Tennyson during this challenging time. Thank you for your kindness, empathy, and support.
