Help my Granny get Back into Her Home
Donation protected
Friends and family, we are asking for your help! Mom’s house was severely damaged by the recent flooding and because of her location, insurance will not cover the damages and Lanark County has not been approved for the disaster relief fund.
We are currently looking at $10,000 – $15,000 in damages and this does not include the cost to have her house raised 3-4’ to prevent future flooding.
Although this has been devastating for mom, she always has a positive outlook on any situation. Her first comment to me was, “Is everyone alright?”. And the second comment was “Did my pink Doc Martens that Jenny gave me, make it?”. LOL! We are now in the process of gathering quotes, drafting material lists and putting together an action plan.
We would like to thank the crew who helped us pack and move all of mom’s belongings, demo the water damaged floors/walls/cabinets and provide her with alternative (RV camper) living arrangements.
We would greatly appreciated any contribution, big or small, to help with putting mom’s house and life back together:)
Sincerely,
Ali and James
