Help mom injured in high speed car accident

Donation protected
On November 11th, while heading down route 137, a man in a pick-up truck with cocaine and alcohol in his system fell asleep at the wheel, barreling into the side of my mother's car, clocking a speed of over 60 miles per hour. She had a four year old boy and eight year old girl in the backseat.

The man sped off, leaving my mother and the two children, William and Charlotte, stranded in the car.

All three were transported to the hospital, where William had to receive seven stitches around his eye, which would not stop bleeding. My mother was given x-rays, which found serious strain around her neck and spine, including numerous amounts of bruises and a possible head injury (Update: her head scans have come back clear!). She's been confined to her bed, barely being able to move or even sit up, which may keep her from being able to work.

With insurance not covering all the expenses, money is needed for all the medical bills, deductible, and a rental car. As her car was totaled and only valued at under 4,000 dollars by the insurance company, money will be needed for a new replacement car. I don't want to ask for too much, but somewhere around 6,000 dollars would go a long way for my family and I.

I understand that not everyone is in a financial position to help. Just know that every dollar and every single person this is shared with will make a difference. Thank you all so much.
