Help mom rebuild home destroyed by fire
Donation protected
Hi my name is Lorenza (Rachael) Devora. On August 30th 2023 a fire started at a homeless encampment in between two sound walls along the 60 westbound freeway in Riverside that spread into the backyards of eight homes along the sound wall destroying my mom's, Christina Rangel, home. Arson investigators confirmed the origin of the fire and evidence of a stove burner and what looks like a propane tank was found.
In total eight homes were minorly threatened and or affected but unfortunately all but one wall of my mom's home was destroyed. Working with the insurance adjuster and interviewing potential contractors to rebuild her home we have learned we may not have enough to rebuild her house and detached garage.
Mom recently retired after 19 years as a school bus driver. She had just put in a new roof, windows, and electrical work into her home and was saving to remodel her bathroom into an ADA shower. Our family is asking for your help in this time of need. Anything is appreciated.
We would like to also express our gratitude to mom's neighbors, coworkers, friends, family and people of the community who have stopped to show support with use of their home facilities, prayers, thoughts, food, water, and donations. Thank you and God Bless
