Jasper was tragically taken from me in a car accident on December 7, 2022. A semi ran my vehicle off I-40 interstate heading west causing me to hit a culvert head on about 70mph. The impact from us hitting a cement wall caused Jasper to have no brain activity so comfort care was put into place.
He took his last breath in my arms while I was intubated.
Not only did I lose my baby boy, I broke my back, my ribs, my foot/leg, my placenta ruptured, lungs collapsed, I had bleeding in my spine, bleeding internally, my pancreas and uterus had to be repaired and I had to have a critical amount of blood transfusions. I had 5 surgeries the night of my accident to get stable and multiple surgeries throughout the time I was admitted to the hospital that month.
The car accident happened December 6, 2022. My car was completely totaled and because of my injuries I had to learn to walk again. I’m a single mom with a 3 year old at home. I only had liability at the time of my accident so everything has been out of pocket. The semi that ran my car off the road kept going. Anyone who seen the accident did not stop. Jasper still needs a headstone!! If you can donate it would mean the world to me. If you can’t, please keep me and my boy in your prayers.
*update 06/03/24 I had major surgery to remove any dead bone I had in my right foot. Part of my pelvic bone was used to reconstruct me a new foot. My ankle bone was completely removed and replaced with titanium. Another rod has been placed through my heel. I will go through learning how to walk again once I’m healed.
