Help Monica Battle Multiple Myeloma Cancer

Hello, my name is Pam and my family, and I are fundraising for our

Daughter/Sister/Niece/Mother/Wife/Grandmother and Dear Friend, Monica Lewis.

Monica is a 50-year-old mother who was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma-Cancer of The Blood Plasma. Monica is a compassionate and joyful person who loves to joke around and spend time with family.

In September 2022, Monica was rushed to a hospital emergency room because she was having severe pains in her back and legs and could not walk. She thought the pain was because of her work which included standing on her feet while mixing chemicals in machines for 10-12 hours a day.

After a biopsy and three months in the hospital, unfortunately, Monica was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma-Cancer of the plasma cells. The doctors started chemotherapy and other treatments in September 2022. In December 2022 she developed a brain bleed and had an emergency brain surgery. The Chemotherapy was discontinued because of the aggressiveness of the chemo and Monica was given three days to live, but a higher power gave her more time. The road has been tough but she is a strong courageous woman and a fighter.

Due to the nature of Monica's cancer and treatments, she is not able to return to work at this time. Monica has a long road ahead, with overwhelming medical and daily living expenses. Her husband is doing the best he can but is forced into choosing to work overtime or being available physically to his wife in this time of extraordinary need.

On behalf of the family, we ask if you can please donate to help support Monica defeat this cancer.

The funds will offset and ease uncovered ongoing medical treatments, traveling back and forth to the doctor and daily living expenses. This will also allow her husband to take some time from work to support his wife and spend time with her.

Monica's next step in this process is that she is a candidate for a Stem Cell Transplant in a Cancer center six hours away. We need your prayers for this very important surgery.
