Help Monica Cannon: A Mother's Fight for Justice
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We urgently need your help for Monica Cannon, a dedicated Black community organizer, loving mother, and fierce advocate for justice. Monica is facing false federal charges, and she recently lost her husband, leaving her to care for their children alone. The family picture above is one of the last of the whole family together before her husband’s passing from a horrible traffic accident.
Why Monica Needs Your Support
Monica is fighting to clear her name and provide for her two young boys and the rest of her children. As of August 2024, Monica has been appointed a lawyer by the court and will no longer pay legal fees, but the daily expenses of maintaining a home and raising her children without her husband are immense.
A Pattern of Injustice
Monica's situation is not unique. Other Black activists who have fought for justice have faced similar charges. The patterns are clear: they have been smeared in the press, targeted by alt-right groups, and wrongly charged with fraud. These tactics are used to silence powerful voices like Monica's, voices that speak for the change we all need.
How Your Donation Will Help
Your contribution will go towards:
- Living Expenses: Providing food, shelter, and basic needs for her family.
- Children’s Support: Ensuring her kids have what they need to thrive.
Stand with Monica
Monica has always stood up for her community. Now it's time for us to stand with her and her children. Every dollar makes a difference.
