Help Monika Get a Vein Finder Device

Hello! My name is Monika, and I’m a cancer survivor.

When I was just 19 years old, I got diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma (a cancer of the lymph nodes). After 8 rounds of chemotherapy, I was declared as “in remission”. However, due to the high doses of chemotherapy I received, I have many side effects and health issues that have become a huge hindrance to my daily life.

Because I developed cancer so young and both my parents lost their battles with cancer, I am at a higher risk of relapse or a new cancer developing. I require more medical care than my peers and that includes frequent blood tests, medications, and IV treatments.
I began this GoFundMe because of my latest experience with an iron infusion. My veins were fried from chemotherapy, and they have not recovered. My nurses at the iron infusion couldn’t find a good vein, so they ended up poking me 3 times. I know this may not sound like a lot, but to a cancer survivor who has a lot of trauma, this experience was terrifying. I asked them if they could use a vein finder, but they sarcastically answered “no, most units in the hospital don’t have one”. I’m starting this GoFundMe to allow me to purchase a Vein Finder to bring to all my blood tests and IV treatments.
If enough money is raised, I’ll finally be able to have less pain and stress from necessary medical tests! My biggest hope is to only be poked once!
The Vein Finder I found that can be shipped to Canada is called Vein Lite LED+ and it is approximately 1009.63.

Please help however you can. Sharing helps a lot, too! Thank you for listening to my story, I truly appreciate it!
