Help Moon Breathe Easy Again

A lovable, goofy, and fluffy boy; that is Moon.
Moon is our newest and sweetest addition to our family since June 12, 2023. He is only 1 year and 7 months old as of now. Being as young as he is, he is normally so full of energy; chasing and playing with his older 6 year old brother or his own fluff on the floor. The little guy is funny. He can put a smile on Mona Lisa and light up the bottom of the ocean. He sleeps on his mother's side of the bed on his back and he snores while doing so. He will run around a corner just to hide and wait for his older sister to walk by to pounce on her. He knows how to sit and spin clockwise and counter clockwise for treats. His voice is non-existent but when he does meow it is tiny like him.
Moon is a good boy. He deserves the world and then some. Recently, he's been feeling down. Today is 11/03/2024, he stopped eating and drinking on his own on 11/01/2024. This morning we brought him to the emergency clinic, where the doctor discovered his issues; Moon has Pyothorax. This condition caused an accumulation of pus outside and between his lungs. He was immediately put into sedation and a thoracentesis, a needle insertion to remove fluid, was performed by the vet. He's now breathing better, however the vet also informed us with another problem. His left lung is diseased and he would require hospitalization. There, they will have catheter tubes inserted into his lungs in order to remove fluid build up along with giving him antibiotics as they watch him 24/7. Our vet said that there is a chance that he will need invasive surgery, to open his chest. Being as young as he is, there is a lower success rate.
As Moon's owners/parents we are asking for any amount of donation. With x-rays, ultrasounds, medication, days in the hospital, and post-treatment plans, the medical bills have added up. However, he is our little boy and he has fused into our family so seamlessly, we are already missing him. There is not a day that he does not make us smile.
