Hi, my name is Chris Wizner who runs the marketing agency that handles Moonshadows Malibu. I've had the honor of working with Moonshadows Malibu and their entire team for their final years. Rodolfo, Franco and Alessandro who run Moonshadows Malibu have approved the below message as our first communication to the community following this devasting tragedy affecting so many. Please support them in supporting their unbelievably amazing employees who are forever affected by this. All funds raised will go directly to the employees via ownership to help them pay bills, replace lost income and so much more. I had the pleasure of knowing each and every one of them personally including Javier, Oscar, Leo, Paul, Kim, Ben, Eric, Mila, Willy (OG LEGEND 30+ years), Marco, Angel, Kamila, Ernesto, Benito, Jackie, Johnny, Patty, Sonya and so many more. I love you all and I'm so sorry this happened. We all love you.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news: Moonshadows Malibu, our beloved oceanfront restaurant, was tragically burned down on January 8th, 2024, during the Palisades Fire. For nearly four decades, the waves crashing against our patio provided the soundtrack to countless celebrations, shared laughter, and unforgettable moments. Now, that luminous chapter has come to an unthinkable end, leaving us heartbroken. Our employees, the lifeblood of Moonshadows, are grappling with the loss of not just their workplace but the cherished connection with customers they came to know as family.

To our dear friends, patrons, and community: we humbly ask for your support to help our dedicated team through these dark and challenging times. The faces that greeted you with warmth and care now face an uncertain future. Your donations will go directly to assisting our staff—many of whom have worked with us for years and even decades—as they rebuild their lives, support their families, and navigate this devastating loss. We are also profoundly grateful to the first responders who risked everything to protect our community despite impossible obstacles.
