Moriah plus 3: A Mother’s Fight For A Better Future❤️
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Moriah, and I am 23yr old single mother of three, walking boldly in my journey with Christ. I recently made the difficult decision to leave a toxic environment in Houston, Tx and embark on a new path of freedom and faith. Leaving behind my house, everything I knew, and a situation that wasn’t healthy for me or my children, I knew I had to do it to find peace and healing.
In December, I decided to stop accepting help from my children’s grandmother (dad's side) and also doing things outside the will of God to maintain my lifestyle, even though it meant facing an eviction. With nothing but faith, I packed up our entire house, gave everything away, and set off on the road with my three kids. We didn’t know where we were going, but we trusted that God had a plan for us.
We ended up in Dallas for a week, where we were caught in a terrible snowstorm. Our vehicle skidded off the road and crashed into a wall, leaving it damaged but still drivable. At that time, we were literally homeless, with many calls to shelters and a search for resources, we had no luck and ended up staying in hotels and Airbnbs funded by kind people who supported us through TikTok Live. But the help was limited, and on some nights, my kids and I had no choice but to sleep in our car.
Feeling the weight of our circumstances, I fasted and prayed, asking God for guidance. That’s when I heard Him clearly say, “Keep going.” He also told me where through a dream, my 6 year old son confirmed when he said the city, not knowing what was going on or ever hearing me say it. So, despite our barely drivable car, we embarked on a 40-hour journey through another snowstorm, facing many trials along the way. Halfway through, the car broke down, but we managed to get it fixed again by amazing people from TikTok Live and continued on our way.
We eventually arrived at our new destination, and although I am keeping our location private for safety reasons, I am grateful to say that we are safe and have somewhere to lay our head. We are currently staying in an emergency shelter, which will be ending on February 7, 2025. While it’s not permanent, I’m thankful for it, but I still don’t know where we will go from here.
Today, my car was pulled over by the police, and I was told it’s not safe and by law im not able to drive without a functioning front and back bumper, also by law I can’t have a cracked windshield, and the car’s registration needs to be transferred. With the airbag deployed and the condition of the car, I believe it’s time to let it go. I’m struggling to pay for food, gas, and the essentials my children need, not knowing where we will lay our head next, and the cost of getting my car fixed or replaced is beyond my reach.
- This GoFundMe is my last hope. I’m asking for your support to help us get a new car, shelter , so that we can continue to move forward and keep walking in faith. Every donation will go directly toward replacing or repairing my car, food, shelter, supporting me and my babies living expenses, and continuing our journey toward a better life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. I truly believe that with your help, we can make it through this difficult time and get back on our feet! Thank you for allowing God to use you❤️
