Due to encountering issues with sending funds, Munir decided to start another campaign to help raise more funds for evacuation and medical expenses. We helped make it possible for Munir's father to evacuate for medical treatment in April. Follow the new page to ensure the rest of them have a chance to meet him in Egypt.

My name is Amaya Owens from Portland Oregon. I’m sharing this story so our community can Help raise money for Mounir and his family. These are his words:

My name is Mounir Youssef Salama. I am 24 years old from Gaza. The occupation bombed our house. I am now displaced in southern Gaza and I have nothing. My father is 75 years old and is sick and wants treatment abroad. My mother is 70 years old and suffers from diabetes. My wife is pregnant and I cannot leave Gaza. He has to pay money and I have nothing. We are 5 people, please stand by my side in case of war I know that you will stand by my side and that you are my second family. Please stand with me to evacuate Gaza. My family and I. Because there is no safe place and because the house is completely destroyed, I hope you will support me in evacuating Gaza. Me, my family and the children. You are my second family and I need you. I love you. Private is open to you at any time

My father's name is Youssef Salama. My wife's name is Heba Farwaneh. My mother's name is Zarifa Salama.

as of 4.17.24 Youssef has crossed and is receiving treatment in Egypt.

We are sending funds both via western union and PayPal now daily so that Munir, and his wife and mother may follow this or next week.

We have updated the amount from 60,000 to 150,000 to allow Munir’s Brothers and nieces and nephews (in the photos) to evacuate after the others.

Before October, Munir worked in real estate in Turkey- he had moved home to marry Saleh. Their wedding day was October 6th. When the war began, their family home was destroyed, they have been living in a tent since then.
