Help Move and Restore Bremer County Fair's Log Cabin

The Bremer County Fair Association is currently in the process of building a brand NEW Fair grounds that will be bigger and better, capable of hosting a wider variety of events year-round that will serve as the new home for our 4-H/FFA youth to showcase their hard work and talents as well as a place for children and adults from the community and surrounding areas to learn, grow, explore, and have fun!

The "Log Cabin" has been a staple of the Bremer County Fair since 2003. It has served as the home to a variety of activities and displays including Historical Displays, Conservation Exhibits, Live Animals, Artesian Demonstrations, and recently as our Kid Zone Activity Center!

The Log Cabin has great Bremer County Heritage as well. Built in 1935, it was once used as the meeting place for a local Girl Scout troop, as well as for Parks and Recreation for youth and adult programs, Head Start Program and more!

There is still so much potential that this cabin can be used for and through recent conversations, great interest has risen in preserving a part of Bremer County History by moving the Log Cabin to the new home of the Bremer County Fair so it can continue its story, rich in history and conservation.

This can only be done however, thanks to many generous financial gifts from community members like you! Funds are needed for not only the move itself, but also for renovation costs as well as for a foundation to put the log cabin on. The race is on! The Bremer County Fair will move to it's new home in July of 2025 and if funds are not raised, it will be left behind at it's current site, likely risking demolition and the end of this nearly 90 yr old building.
