Help Mr Books survive

Over that time in I've invested over £50,000 of my own money whilst utility bills soared and the Covid lockdowns hit high street trade.

Our lease ends this year and, even if we close, there is still a lot to be done. 

But here are the choices and the objectives. 

IF we can raise £10,000 then the shop can continue for a year and can start to develop. New stock, perhaps longer opening hours, more space.

IF we only raise part of that then we may still have to close - paying for a high street shop is tough right now - heating, lighting, phone.

All funds raised here will help maintain the business - perhaps going online or even staying in the town in some other way. We're talking to people about alternatives right now, but we can't do this in our current financial position.

We'd love to keep running our author events and podcast and we can easily keep fulfilling our online offer - helping you avoid Am*z*n!

But we don't have much time. Planning takes place now and the latest a decision can be made is the end of May.
