Help Mr. Rogers with Jeep Repairs!

We are Stacey Coleman and Joe Medlin, parents of Cole Medlin, a member of the YPA Band of Revolution. Mr. Gary Rogers is the band director for York Preparatory Academy. He is an amazing teacher that is dedicated to each one of his students. On January 26, 2024 he was pulling the band trailer with his Jeep (his personal vehicle) to Columbia for the Band of Revolution to represent York Prep at the National School Choice Week Rally. On the way there, his Jeep blew a head gasket resulting in $5,400 in repairs. School administration checked with the insurance company and learned that the insurance company will not cover repairs to personal vehicles - even if they are being used for school functions.

Mr. Rogers is a tremendous teacher and we are fortunate to have him as a leader and mentor for our young musicians. He goes above and beyond to support our band students and we do not believe he should have to shoulder the burden of this alone. We are raising money for his out of pocket expenses and to cover the transaction fees. Any amount, no matter how great or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
