Help Mrs. Alexander beat Leukemia!
Donation protected
Friends and Supporters of the Alexander Family,
Hi everyone, my name is Elisabeth Alexander. This is heart breaking to make especially for one of the strongest, bravest, most selfless, woman I know. Denise is a beautiful, fierce and much-loved mother and teacher. In 2019, my mom was unexpectedly diagnosed with Myelodysplastic syndrome, also known as preleukemia. MDS over time can progress into Acute myeloid leukemia, which has unfortunately happened with my mom. AML is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. My mom is transfusion dependent and has had 19 blood transfusions to keep her going. My mom is now at the point where she needs to move on to her next steps of treatment. She will be doing chemotherapy as well as a bone marrow transplant, which, we are waiting to hear back about if they have found a donor match. While she is receiving treatment with the excellent team at Stanford, she will need to stay in a 25 mile radius from Stanford Hospital for a span of 3-4 months.
We are hopeful that these donations will help ease the financial burden on my family, allowing us to focus solely on her care and well-being.
As a family we hope to surround my mom with the love, strength, resources and prayer as she continues fighting this battle. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading this and donating if you choose. Welcome to Team Alexander!
Thank you for continued support.
