Help Mrs. Serrato Recover from Fire Damage
Donation protected
I have been a teacher at Union Gap School for the past 9 years. That whole time, one of the rocks of our school has been one of our Paraprofessionals, Mrs. Serrato. Mrs. Serrato is there for the students, the staff, and really anyone who is in need, regardless of circumstances or time of day. When I heard Mrs. Serrato was in need, I felt compelled to help. On the Fourth of July this year, Mrs. Serrato's neighbors, while letting off fireworks, caught both of the family's cars on fire. Both cars sustained catastrophic damage. Unfortunately, one of the cars had been parked long-term and as such was not actively insured. The neighbor is a single mom with no assets, no insurance, and no income. This leaves Mrs. Serrato and her family in a desperate situation. Their insurance will pay a small portion of the value of one car, and nothing on the second car.
I cannot think of a kinder, more generous woman who deserves a little help in her time of need, as she has always been there for everyone else. Our goal is $5000, though that won't cover replacing either car, any help will be a blessing.
