Help Ms. Waller Survive Student Teaching!

Hi everyone, my name is Gina. I’m a full-time student at the University of Nevada, Reno finishing a dual bachelor’s program in Secondary Education and History. For the entirety of my undergraduate career I’ve funded my own education through grants, scholarships, and savings. I’ve always worked a full-time job in addition to attending college full-time. Now that I’ve reached my final semester, I’m in desperate need of help.
Before I can graduate with my degree in May, I am required to do a full-time student teaching internship that is 14 weeks long and does not pay. I will be unemployed until mid to late April when my internship ends. This means that all of my expenses (which total to around $2000 a month including rent, utilities, transportation, etc.) will need to be covered out of pocket. Although I’ve applied for as many grants and loans as I possibly could, I am still falling short on the amount I need to survive while not being employed.
I’m asking for help funding this last semester because I am so incredibly passionate about teaching students. I love having the ability to make a change in young peoples’ lives and would be devastated to have financial struggles prevent me from fulfilling my dream of being a full-time, certified educator. All of these funds would go directly to crucial necessities.
Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.
