Help Muddy Heal — Emergency Vet Costs

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our dog, Muddy. After days of vomiting, weakness, and lethargy, Muddy was taken to the emergency vet where they found evidence that she had swallowed a foreign object — something extremely dangerous and potentially life-threatening if left untreated.

She is currently in surgery now to remove the obstruction and give her the best possible chance at recovery. We were able to move forward with the procedure, but the cost is significant and has put a real strain on us.

Between emergency hospitalization, diagnostics, and now surgery, the total could reach $8,000–$10,000, not including her recovery and follow-up care. We’re doing everything we can to take care of her, but we’re asking for help because the financial burden it will cause. Any amount truly helps — and sharing this page helps just as much!

For those of you who don’t know Muddy — here’s a little glimpse:

• She’s scared of thunder, bathtime, brooms, and vacuums — so imagining her in a bright, noisy ER environment is truly heartbreaking.

• Muddy has what we’re convinced are world-record meal times. Even with a slow feeder, she devours her breakfast and dinner like a champ.

• She’s one of the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet, always wagging her tail and ready for pets from anyone and everyone.

• After a walk, she gets the zoomies like clockwork — running up and down the stairs five times before crashing into a cozy nap on the couch.

• She’s the loudest snorer — we’re talking room-shaking level snoring.

• And she struts down the street with the happiest, wiggliest little walk that instantly makes people smile.

She brings light, laughter, and warmth into our lives every single day. Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking, and we just want to do everything we can to get her healthy and happy again.
