Help Muffet get emergency surgery after an attack
Donation protected
Hi Everyone, I’m fundraising for my Nan’s dog Muffet who was attacked outside her home on Tuesday 25th around 3pm.
My Nan (Gayle) was just about to go on a walk with both dogs as Gayle left the front door of her home in Rosemeadow. Just as she was leaning down to attach her lead to the harness, Muffet (who was attacked) noticed another dog walking past. Being the friendly dog she is, she went to say hello, only to be attacked by a staffy who was on a lead (not muzzled). The owner ended up getting their dog off of her, but not without severe injuries to her chest, behind and leg.
If you know Muffet she is the sweetest, tiniest and loving little pup. And if you know my Nan her two dogs Ashoka and Muffet are her whole world. After losing her husband and son to cancer in recent years these two little fur babies have kept her house a home.
Muffet is currently at the Emergency Vet in Miranda awaiting assessment from the surgery team being a public holiday there is no surgeries until tomorrow. She is currently on an overnight stay on oxygen and keeping her stable is $1,400 and awaiting surgery which could be another further $5-10k, depending on how long she will need to stay under their care.
Asking for help is the last thing my Nan would do so I’m reaching out on her behalf, but we would do anything to give Muffy a fighting chance.
If you can donate anything or even just share this for my family we will be forever grateful. We hope Muffet is back on her feet and reunited with my Nan and best fur sister Ashoka soon.
FYI, we do not know who the owner is of the dog who attacked. He left quickly after the attack and never left any contact information.
Thanks,
Taylah and the Murphy family
