Help the Alshawa family find safety

Hi,

I am Jonathan Roth, I live in New York state and work as a psychotherapist in Ithaca. As an American Jew, I feel some responsibility for the current suffering of the people in Gaza.

My friend Esther has asked me to open this campaign for Mohamed, who is the brother in law of her good friend Hafez. They need help in their emergency evacuation from the Gaza strip. Up until recently Mohamed worked in medical testing, and his brother was a university student.

Here is a note from Mohamed describing their situation and current needs:

Hello, my name is Mohamed. I am married and the father of three children, the eldest of whom is 3 years old and the youngest is one year old.

Since the outbreak of war, my children and my family have been suffering. I have lost my home since the beginning of the war and have been displaced from one place to another in search of safety and warmth. I am now in the middle of Gaza, looking for an opportunity to save my family and get out of Gaza.

I hope you can help me with this, as the financial cost of travel ranges from $3500 to $7,000 per person, and I cannot cover these financial amounts on my own. The Ya Hala travel agency, which assists with the evacuations demands up to $7000 to get an adult out of Gaza through the Rafah crossing, and half as much for each child. There are me, my wife, Shaymaa, my three children, Rashad, Ahmed and Habiba, my mother, Awatef, and my brother, Mahmoud. We are a total of 7 people, meaning we need approximately $38,500 in total to be able to evacuate.'

So I ask you to help me save my children and my mother and escape from the war zone to the country of Egypt.
